After receiving an 8.5 million dollar grant from the US Department of Education in August 2020 to recruit and prepare effective teachers for urban and rural schools, I realized the need for materials to facilitate marketing throughout Georgia and to share with other grantees around the country. I reached out to the College of Education’s Communication Director and had the good fortune of being referred to Ms. Alma Stone. After interviews with other competitors for this contract, our team selected Ms. Stone because of her broad knowledge and insight regarding the field of education and her presentation on how to effectively reach our target population. She was the consummate professional throughout the duration of our contract while delivering our products on time and on budget. As our grant nears its 5th year, we continue to use deliverables from our initial grant startup. Because of the products developed, we have been successful in recruiting career changers and other aspiring teachers into our program at GSU.

Alma and I worked together at Landmark Christian School from June 2009 to July 2017. She was a key member of my Institutional Advancement team lending her wise advice and council regarding Landmark’s marketing and communications needs.
